www.aroundthedinnertable.org “Around the Dinner Table” (ATDT) is an online community of parents of eating disorder patients around the world. ATDT is a moderated 24/7 Forum that has connected and supported parents since 2004. Many parents have found ATDT to be an invaluable resource for day-to-day, meal-to-meal support that goes beyond what a clinical treatment team can provide.

www.beyondhunger.org – This website adopts a spiritual approach to recovery. Includes resources, information and tips on adopting a healthy body image. American based.

www.feedyourinstinct.com.au -Feed Your Instinct (FYI) is an interactive, online tool designed to support parents of children and young people experiencing different types of eating and/or body image problems. FYI has been developed by the Victorian Centre of Excellence in Eating Disorders (CEED), a state-wide program of Victoria’s Specialist Mental Health Services. It aims to highlight common warning signs and provide useful information about eating and/or body image problems.

www.bodywhys.ie – An Irish based website. Great information/support for sufferers, parents, families and friends.

www.bridges.net.au – Bridges Eating Disorders Association of Western Australia is a not-for-profit, community-based, charitable organization operated by past sufferers, parents, carers, and health care professionals to advocate for and support people experiencing eating disorders. Provides a list of WA service providers and other useful information.

www.bulimia.com – This is the site for Gurze books, specialists in eating disorder publications. Publications can be ordered via the website. A great resource for accessing further information.

www.thebutterflyfoundation.org.au – A community based charitable organisation that supports eating disorder sufferers and their carers through direct financial relief, advocacy, awareness campaigns, health promotion and early intervention work. A good resource.

www.eatingdisorders.org.au – The Eating Disorder Foundation of Victoria website provides useful information, research updates, e-news and will soon be implementing a ‘safe’ chat room for parent/carers.

www.feast-ed.org – ‘FEAST’ – Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment of Eating Disorders is an international organisation of and for caregivers of eating disorder patients. FEAST serves families by providing information and mutual support, promoting evidence-based treatment, and advocating for research and education to reduce the suffering associated with eating disorders.

The Body Esteem Program has just released the Eating Disorder Resources Directory for 2016. This directory contains a listing of services that are provided by private health professionals, community organisations and government departments in the Perth metropolitan area that either specialise, or have an interest in working to support people with eating disorders.
